Times Community Newspapers - Lyme disease: Facing Loudoun's silent epidemic
Fortean artist and sculptor Margarite d'Arsinoe, a survivor of the often mis-diagnosed Lyme disease sent this article along from Virginia, where the County of Loudoun is having more than it's share of trouble with the disease.
It would seem that if caught early on, treatment is not too awful, as my cousin, a professional gardener in backcountry Greenwich, CT can attest, having caught it at least a dozen times over the years... but many times the insidious infection doesn't display it's marker symptoms... causing delays and mis-diagnoses... and even then can give false test results... at which point it has become quite dangerous.
You should read this so you are aware, for yourself and others... it describes an effective treatment that will take 8 weeks of your time... and most likely save your life.
Bravo, Margarite, I'm glad you're well! Best wishes for great results in your efforts to educate us all.
