Nahuelito? Painted Log? Hmmm...

This very nice new photo of the Argentine's legendary mystery creature known as Nahuelito has been making the rounds of late. An excellent post about it over at Loren Coleman's Cryptomundo should be perused at your leisure.

The original photo above is a bit dark where it counts, so I thought I might enhance it a bit, mostly with the response curves in Photoshop to make his or her ugly mug a bit more visible in the top image. It has been suggested that it's a painted floating log... If that's what it is the hoaxers did a wonderful job of carving the wood to a suitable form for an eel or aquatic reptile before painting the eyes and teeth. Naturally I'd like to think that someone got really lucky, but hey, who knows...

Sir Gerald Kaufman, UK MP: Israel acting like Nazis in Gaza

Sir Gerald Kaufman explains... with deep understanding... the situation that exists in Palestine today, to the House of Commons. He notes with palpable anger that Israel is acting exactly like the Nazis did in a horrific, sick recreation of their experiences in the 30s and 40s. He also points out his revulsion with the use of those experiences as a cover for unleashing terror upon the people of Gaza as a stepping stone in the pursuit of conquest.

It was reassuring to hear the positive reactions of the members of the House to several points and to his recommendation. Sir Gerald is a very good man, as his credentials and no BS oratory reveal. The lunacy must stop. It is evil. This man knows what he's talking about and his ideas should be considered positively in light of that.

During a Commons debate on the fighting in Gaza, he urged the government to impose an arms embargo on Israel.

Sir Gerald, who was brought up as an orthodox Jew and Zionist, said: "My grandmother was ill in bed when the Nazis came to her home town a German soldier shot her dead in her bed.

"My grandmother did not die to provide cover for Israeli soldiers murdering Palestinian grandmothers in Gaza. The present Israeli government ruthlessly and cynically exploits the continuing guilt from gentiles over the slaughter of Jews in the Holocaust as justification for their murder of Palestinians."

He said the claim that many of the Palestinian victims were militants "was the reply of the Nazi" and added: "I suppose the Jews fighting for their lives in the Warsaw ghetto could have been dismissed as militants."

He accused the Israeli government of seeking "conquest" and added: "They are not simply war criminals, they are fools."

Prisoner star McGoohan dies at 80

Emmy-winning actor Patrick McGoohan, best known for starring in cult
1960s TV show The Prisoner, has died at the age of 80.

He died in Los Angeles after a short illness, his film producer
son-in-law Cleve Landsberg said.

A Fairy Living Near The Igular Entity?!

Appears as if I have a small trip to schedule this spring or summer. I saw this at Phantoms and Monsters the other day... and it's another Connecticut anomaly. Although there's always the increasingly popular process of pareidolia to consider, as it is after all an image; it's been noted elsewhere and in these eyeballs that there certainly is a surprising amount of detail to the tiny little guy. Pixels can surely confuse, but enough of them in the right configuration can also be a reinforcing thing... at any rate, I'll try to set 10 million of them to task and see what we get. I am hopeful that the little dude will a) be there; and b) see my friendly aura and pose nicely just as he did for the person that took this shot. We shall see!

US Government Signaling ET?

In J.P. Skipper's latest report at Mars Anomaly Research, entitled Nevada Mystery Symbols, he turns his eyes towards home with a look at some high strangeness communication that our Government is apparently conducting out in the middle of nowhere. The images are there on Google Earth for you to view, at 39° 54' 04.39" N and 118° 23' 53.95" W... and vicinity... as there are quite a few as you'll see. The coordinates are for the main one here, the image I lifted off Skipper's site. The triangle, one of two, I found and cropped out for you; they're part of a no doubt related complex of some very, very strange circular forms each with a V-shaped building at the center and a nifty road in a triangle wave pattern connecting them all.

They are, quite obviously, a message. So, of course, these "messages" beg the question of just what in the hell these symbolic glyphs are saying, why are they saying it... and... just who is the intended recipient? There's got to be, just got to, a deep, underlying and possibly creepy meaning to them... unless the personnel have just gone crazy with the heat and the desolation, although I doubt that strongly. Surely there must be something to combat cabin fever in nearby Lovelock and surely in Reno which isn't too far.

Oh, dudes, how I wish I could hop on a plane and go check these things out up close and personal. Sigh. Someday soon, perhaps.

Meanwhile, I'll just try to survive, as things are really pretty seriously bad around here; and wait for Mr. Skipper's next report... on them round jobbies...
